Duncan was the Lord of Argyll and the 1st Lord Campbell. He served as a hostage for the redemption of King James I in 1424 and became a Lord of Parliament in 1445.

Some sources say that Duncan married another Stewart, Marjory, and had another son named Archibald (or Gillespic or Celestin) who died in 1440. I can't help but think that Marjory and Margaret are the same person, so I have not added another wife or son.

Colin was granted all the lands in Lochow, united with the lands of Ardsheodnish, on 10 February 1315. He accompanied King Robert the Bruce to Ireland in 1316 to secure the throne for Bruce's brother Edward. In 1334 he assisted Robert, 7th High Steward of Scotland, in recovering the Castle Dunoon from the English. After which he was given the inheritable position of Keeper of the castle.

Colin may have had a natural son named Niall who was the ancestor of the Campbells of Melfort.

Sir Neil had been granted the wardship of a daughter of Andrew Crawford by King Edward I, he later married her as his first wife. Sir Neil joined Robert the Bruce in 1296 and fought with him in almost every battle.
