There were two daughters whose names are not known.

John is sometimes refered to as Daniel in some places within family notes and letters. We have not figured out why he is called Daniel, however, there is a "rumor" that it is because he was so brave and fought off wild animals without a gun as did the Biblical Daniel... as did his father Daniel... they were said to be very good hunters and used a hunting knife as their only protection. Who knows if this is true, but it is a fun family story. Oral history has value if not absolutely true.
